Tasting notes

Deep red colour with a dark core. No sign of age. Nose shows chocolate and spices. Old woods. Quite acidic mouthfeel for an amarone in the mouth. Shows some evolvement and mostly tertiary-notes of chocolate, old woods, leather. Touch of cherries, but shows a bit lacking in fruit. Closed? Decent quality, but lacks the greatness I had hoped for here. Try again later.

Deep red colour. The nose shows bitter-almonds, cherries in spirit and evolved notes of leather and dust. Some fine high notes. Fullbodied and evolved amarone in the mouth. But the '86 lacks the finesse of later vintages of this wine. This is a more rustic effort with some bitter-notes, hints of almonds and leather. Medium acidity and a little tannins in the back. Fine more than great, amarone that has evolved nicely.
