Brick-red colour. Seems quite old. Fine nose. Fruity cherriysh core. Lots of sweet anise around. Some tar. Traditional style and
typical of the grape. Fullbodied wine in the mouth and lots of fruit. Again it is quite cherriysh and fruity in style. Lots of sweet
anise and a touch of tar. Typical nebbiolo-notes, but lacking a little depth and the more finer notes of roses. Fine acidity. Dry and
tannic end. Long taste. A good ’98 Barbaresco and a very good effort from this producer. Drinks well now, but can take on some more
years. Very good.
