Brick-red colour. Transparent, but not that light for a 50 year old Barolo. Intense red core. Great nose, at first a touch unclear.
With 3-4 hours of air it is better. Old woods, tartufi, roses, anise and tar. Complex and typical. With air more perfume creeps in.
Still quite full in the mouth. Extremely intense and great texture. The typical old aged mellowness. But also the power and structure
of the youth. Lots of perfume, roses, tartufi. Old woods. Traditionally made Barolo. Fine acidity and a typical dry finish. Very long
taste. Tremendous wine that is on top now, but does not seem to be fading.
