This is a fine and traditional producer with a Barolo from an off-vintage. And that pretty much sums up how this wine tasted.
Traditional fine style, but lacking in a vintage like this. Light brown-red colour. Tar in the nose. Some liquorice, cherries and leather. Fullbodied and dry nebbiolo in the mouth. But
concentration is very low here. Fruit is missing in the balance. Some hints of tar and sweet liquorice. Fine acidity and remarkably
dry and tannic finish. Total impression is a wine that is lacking for the name Barolo. But not too bad for the price I paid.
