Deep brick-red colour. Deep for this grape. Nose shows hints of anise, tar, roses. Complex and typical Monforte-style. Powerful in
the mouth. Traditional style. Structured and tannic with fine fruit and concentration. Much tar, anise, asphalt and some roses. A fine
Monforte-Barolo, but still I seem to prefer this producers Barbaresco
from the same vintage.
