Tasting notes

Deep red colour. Slight bricking. Fine nose with quite a lot of red fruit-notes for a Barolo. But also classical hints of tar, anise and floral high notes. Powerful and tannic Barolo in the mouth. Concentrated and fleshy fruit. Typical for the vintage. Quite cool fruit though. Dark berries, tar. Needs time to develop. Fine acidity and tannic end. This is a very fine Barolo that is drinkable now, but would benefit from 8-10 years cellar-time.

Deep red colour. Fine and typical nose. Primary and fruity right now. Cherries with hints of anise and tar. Fullbodied Barolo in the mouth with lots of fruit. Young with some fat. Traditional, slightly oxidative style. Fine acidity. Typical tannic end. Drinkable now if you like Barolo in the fruity stage. Wait 5-10 years for more complexity.
