Bovale di Spagna is a synonym for bovale grande which is
regarded as a better grape than the boval sardo. In the
Campidano di Terralba DOC there may be up to 80% of
specifically bovale di spagna. In other appelations it equals
the bovale sardo.
There is also a grape named Uva di Spagna on Sardegna. This
is a synonym for carignano.
