This blue grape is found in various degrees around Piemonte,
but only around Acqui Terme is it much grown. Here it makes
the DOCG Brachetto d'Acqui, which is a sweet frizzante or
spumante. The grape is also found around the town of Nice
in France where it is known as Braquet.
