Tasting notes

This bottle had a little seepage and fill was not too high. The wine was alive and with a fine nose. In the mouth it was a little bit more tired. Golden-brown colour. Complex nose of old woods, stearin, faded flowers, minerals and a little spice. Haalf-sweet and medium bodied Mosel-wine. Some riesling-notes in the fruit with a fine minerality and citrus. But also some burnt caramel, which probably derives from lesser grapes. Sweetness has mellowed in this wine. Acids are medium high and the wine is rather short on taste. What is there is fine. Nose is best. Drink up.

Amber-brown colour. Spicy nose with hints of old woods, some earth and dried flowers. Medium bodied in the mouth. Sweet, but a little mellowed sweetness. Fruit is old-fashioned, a little earthy, hints of dried flowers and spice. Not much depth. A bit simple for this vineyard. Medium acidity and length. Still drinks very fine, but no great Juffer.

Yellow colour. Matured and lightly complex nose with hints of honey, naphthalene, spice, dried flowers. Typical blended Mosel-wine. Medium bodied in the mouth with a rounded sweetness. Again those notes of honey and naphthalene. But this is a bit clearer than previous bottles. Some flowers, even minerality showing on the palate. Fine acidity and decent length. Fun to drink, but no great Mosel-auslese.
