The fill was low neck and the cork looked good. The wine had a deep brick colour with some bit of browning at the rim. The smell showed
complex hints of old wood, minerals, slightly roses and a tiny hint of cherries. Medium bodied in the mouth. Very mature fruitiness.
The same aromas as in the nose, some complexity, but the fruit is starting to dry out. Good acidity and not much tannins left. Decent
length. After the bottle had been opened for about one hour oxidative aromas intrude and the wine is breaking up. All in all a nice
wine still offering interest, but the wine is on the way down.
