This is an almost extinct grape from the Piedmont with
unknown origins. The good producer Renaldo Graglia makes
a sweet passito rose on this grapes as one of his prides.
According to this producer the grape has been grown around
the towns of Torino and Chieri since at least since 1600.
There is talk of a possible relation with pelaverga di pagno.
