Straw colour. Small fine bubbles. Typical and fine nose of chalk, seaweed and evolved notes. Some dark bread, some minerality. Fullbodied
and typical quite refreshing and high acid style of this wine. The fruit is open now. Chalky and lots of seaweed. Dark bread. Perhaps
a tad on the rustic side. Fine, but lacking slightly the finer citrusy edge of the '96. Refreshing and malic acidity. Food-friendly
style. Very good Champagne. Fine in this vintage.
