Tasting notes

Deep brown-red colour. Browning rim, but deep and fine red colour at the core. The nose shows pencil-lead, minerality, some blackcurrant and florality. Medium bodied Bordeaux in the mouth with mature fruit and not the most concentrated. Yet a muscular and tight structure. The fruit is mature, some fine hints of pencil-lead, floral notes, light red berries. Also a hint of some herbs and gooseberry. Quite transparent in style and perhaps lacking a touch in intensity. The acidity is fine and the finish still shows tannins in a dry and medium long finish. The structure is there, but probably the fruit is fading, so drink now. This was nonetheless a nice drink and much better than expected.
