Tasting notes
Dark red colour with just a touch bricking at the rim. Complex and intence nose of coffee, stable, dirt, cedarwood and leather. Quite
tertiary. Powerful in the mouth with still loads of fruit and concentration. Much coffee and stable. Some red fruits. Noble old wood.
Medium acids and still some tannins. Long taste. Wonderful and mature Bordeaux. Really a great wine. Will last.
Arnt Egil Nordlien Tasting note: Aug-99
Deep red colour. Not very deep, but only lightly bricking. The nose shows stable, old woods, red berries and floral high notes. Quite
classic Gruaud, but a fine perfume in a more feminin style. A touch of coffee. Medium bodied Gruaud in the mouth. Quite mature fruit now.
Stable, old woods. Fine floral notes. Medium acidity and tannins have rounded out in the finish. This seems ready to go and I would not
age this much further. Very good Gruaud.
