Dark red colour, no bricking at the core, but a light browning rim at the edge. Complex and lightly ”green” nose with hints of
tobacco, blackcurrant, cedar and light stable and leather. Full-bodied in the mouth and better fruit-concentration than I would
expect. Again only slightly on the green side with taste of tobacco, minerals and cedar. Higher acidity than normal for Bordeaux
which I only find appealing to me. Light tannic end. Good length. There are probably better vintages out there of Haut-Brion but
this 84 must be underrated. Fully mature now, but will last at least another 5-10 years.
