Ugly bottle with low fill and some sediment. Amber/brownish colour. The nose shows herbacious notes. Chalk, some dried flowers.
Surprisingly the nose has a huge intensity and is quite pretty. In the mouth the wine is obviously highly mature. Fruit is fading.
Still it shows a lot of Silvaner-typicity. Especially on the bitter vegetal finish. Also hints of chalk from the soil. Medium acidity and
length. A bit aquired wine that is best on the nose. If you like Silvaner and Franken-wines it was a very good bottle.
