This blue grape is said to be indigenous to the Vallagarina-valley
of Alto Adige. The producer Albino Armani has specialized
in making a varital-wine of this grape. It is also found
further south and used as a blending-component.
It also comes under the name Casetta. There is no known
link to the tuscan grape Foglia Tonda.
