Straw coloured wine. Medium mousse, fine bubbles. Smell of
toasted dark bread, yeast and floral hints. Full-bodied in
the mouth with good concentration. Starting to mature. Hints
of toast, starting to integrate with slight perfume and
flowers. Good acids and length.
Franciacorta is not Champagne and should not be. IMO the
appelation starts to evolve a kind of signature with the touch
of the floral hints, which is something you don't find in
Champagne. And Franciacorta lacks the minerality and chalk in
a good Champagne. The style of Bellasvista always strike me
as a bit too high toast for my taste, but fine and crisp
wines. All these elements are found in this wine. The
toastiness is starting to integrate better than in their
younger wines. Still it is a bit too much for me. Other than
that this is a fine and typical Franciacorta for both the
region and the producer.
