Deep and clear red colour. No hints of bricking or browning. Very nice and complex smell. Hints of leather, dark red berries,
cherries, minerals, anise and slight hazelnuts. Powerful structure in the mouth as always. More fruity in the mouth than in the
nose. Also a bit more closed. Slight minerals and leather. Good acidity and with a really powerful tannic structure in the finish
that would make a barolo proud. A bit young yet. Much sediment in the bottle. Great wine, tremendous QPR.
Arnt Egil Nordlien Tasting note: June-00
This is finally starting to get mature with a complex and evolved fruit. Deep brick-red colour. Fine and complex nose with hints of
humus, cherries, tartufi and floral high-notes. Highly traditional Ghemme in the mouth with a hard structure. Fine and mature fruit.
Complex with hints of humus, tartufi and a fine florality. High acidity and still quite hard tannins in the back. Not for the faint
of heart. Drinking fine now, but can age further. Great wine which I like very much.
