This is Cantalupos top bottling. Barrique-aged. Deep brick
red colour. Nose is quite oaky at this stage. Showing quite
spicy with some floral notes underneath. The full-bodied
mouth is better. Showing more cherryish and floral fruit
which is extremely silky for a nebbiolo-based wine. Slight
hints of coffe and some oak-notes. Fruit is concentrated.
Acidity is quite high and the finish is very tannic. And
that's no silky oak-tannins. A very good wine indeed. Just
not a good idea opening it now. Needs at least another 6-7
years and will last much longer. Tremendous QPR.

Tasting note: Aug-02
Deep red colour. The complex nose is floral with hints of
cherries, coffee, autumn-leaves, tar and spicy oak. Young
and tannic in the mouth. Not much evolved fruit here.
Full-bodied and showing more cherris in the fruit and oak
than the nose. Goo acids and dry tannic end. Needs more time.
Give it 5 more years. Great quality, the nose already very
fine.

Tasting note: March-05
Deep red colour. The nose shows hints of leather, cherries, some oak, some floral high notes. Some tar. Fullbodied and austere Ghemme
in the mouth. The fruit does not show much in this bottle. Tannic and acidic wine. With air there escapes some hints of tar, leather
and cherries from the fruit. This was not in a good phase. Let it rest for another 3-4 years before trying again.
