Tasting notes

Yellow, towards browning, colour. Fine nose. Quite flowery with evolved hints of petrol, minerality, old woods. Old-fashioned style, but very fine depth. Fullbodied and sweet auslese in the mouth. Flowery fruit with fine minerality. Not so much botrytis. Hints of petrol. Fine acidity, not high for this grape. Good length. This was a very nice showing from von Simmern. Very good wine. Still a little on the young side.
