Deep purple-red colour. Fruity and flowery nose. Hints of rasberries and fine floral notes. Medium bodied wine in the mouth. At first
this shows tart and acidic. With an hour of air the fruit opens up. Fine young fruit. Hints of rasberries and flowers, not
unlike a burgundian. But with added notes of ash and minerality. Very pure and a bit fragile wine. Fine acidic structure. A little
tannins in the back. Fine food-wine. Drinkable now, but deserves a couple of years in the cellar.
Arnt Egil Nordlien Tasting note: March-07
This is a very pure and fine Frappato that reminds a little bit of a pinot noir grown on sicilian soil. Deep red colour. Lightly
purple. Fine nose with hints of flowers, rasberries, ash and tar. Medium bodied wine in the mouth with good
freshness. Acidic and elegant structure. Fruit has good concentration. Pure and flowery fruit with some hints of ash and minerals.
Lightly tannic end. This drinks beautifully now.
