Tasting notes

Straw colour. Smokey and mineral weissburgunder in the nose. With some floral hints. On day two shows some more mineral. Quite powerful in the mouth, with some fat. Round fruit, concentrated. Fruit a bit smokey, lightly grassy and floral. Nice fruit. Good acids. The alcohol a bit showing in the finish making it a bit rustic. Seems to drink nicely now. Fine weissburgunder, but perhaps the least interesting wine from Wirshcing.

Yellow/green colour. Flowery, green nose with some minerals showing and yellow fruits. Fullbodied and concentrated weissburgunder in the mouth. Fine fruit, lightly complex and typical wb; mineral, greenish, flowery. Fine acids and length. Drinking very fine now, but can probably age longer. Fine weissburgunder.

This was a very fine weissburgunder. One of the better I have tasted from Germany. The wine is more open than previous bottles and is drinking very fine these days. Yellow colour. Fine vegetal nose. Hints of seaweed, chalk and faded flowers. Fine depth. Fullbodied weissburgunder in the mouth. Good concentration. Fine fruit. Quite open and drinking nicely now. Refreshing style with medium acidity. Good length. Very fine weissburgunder.

Yellow colour. Very pretty nose. Complex and developed. Lots of minerality, some yellow fruits and sweet flowers. Fullbodied weissburgunder in the mouth. Matured and on top now. Shows beautiful mineral complexity and depth. Some sweet flowers and yellow fruits shows this comes from ripe grapes. Fine acidity for this grape and good length. Well-balanced, but still noticable high alcohol on the finish. Great wine that is on top now.

Yellow colour. Mineral nose with typical notes of this grape. Honey and citrus. Hints of leafs. Fullbodied, dry and concentrated weissburgunder in the mouth. Lots of minerality. Touch of honey, leafs and slight caramel here. Probably not the best bottle as I have not found this in previous bottles. Fine acidity. Good length. Good wine, but I have had better bottles of this.
