Red colour. Faded, but no browning. Nose shows meat and floral high notes. A bit shy. Medium bodied in the mouth. Mature lagrein
with meaty fruits, fine acids and light tannins in the end. Some fine aged aromas, but no real depth. Perhaps too old. Drink up.
Arnt Egil Nordlien Tasting note: Feb-06
This was a good, but rustic lagrein that was very mature now. The fruit here is a bit wooly and rustic, but I think this is the
character of a mature lagrein. This wine has a deep brick-red colour. Nose shows a lot of wool, game, red fruits and some light
floral notes. There some nice hints here reminding of a good Cote-Rotie, but the hints of wool makes it more rustic and not as fine.
Medium bodied wine in the mouth with good concentration. This shows a lot more fruit than the previous bottle. Matured fruit, again
with that rustic hints of wool on top with a fine meaty fruit and some fine florality in the background. Medium acidity and a little
tannins left in the back. On top now, drink up.
