Deep red colour. Quite impressive colour. Great nose with hints of earth, roses, cherries and tobacco. Good body in the mouth. On
the elegant side of lagrein. Nice and complex earthy fruitiness. Rosy, some cherries. Some anise and some very well-integrated oak
in the finish. Medium acidic content and still tannins in the finish. Will last. Tremendous wine, I really like this.
Arnt Egil Nordlien Tasting note: Nov-01
This lagrein has some nice elements in it. But the oak-treatment has not been a success. Dark brick-red colour. Floral nose. Fine,
but with a layer of oak blurring the depth. Hints of wood and tobacco. Fullbodied lagrein in the mouth with good concentration.
Floral fruit. Open, but the oak does no good to this wine. It is not highly overoaked, but the oak takes the focus away here and
does not seem to integrate well with the fruit. Fine acidity and some tannins in the back. Good length.
