Great looking bottle. Great fill-level and an exceptionally long and healthy cork for Piedmont in these years. The colour was
brick-red with a wide red core. Cool and perhaps a tad green nose. Hints of stone, some tartufi, earth. Tight and structured
Lessona in the mouth. Cool fruit on the green side. Slightly vegetal, hints of tartufi, crushed rocks. Some fresh red berries. Not
too deep, but this has kept well and is better than any ’68 I have tasted from Langhe. Fine acidity. Tannic end. Long dry finish.
Nice drinking wine. On top now.
