Tasting notes

Dark purple-red colour. Fruity nose with grassy, herbacious hints. Hints of lead-pencil. Fruity and juicy wine in the mouth. Very fine fruit. Concentrated and young. Dark fruits, herbs and spices. Reminiscent of cabernet franc. But with a greater body and more fruit. Deep. Some chalky hints. Fresh acidic structure which bodes for a good food-wine. The finish is slightly rough with light tannins. This is very good for the price and a QPR-winner. My guess is this turns into my house-red for 2007.

Dark purple-red colour. Fine nose with hints of wet earth, dark berries, some meat and some floral high notes. Good body in the mouth. Good concentration. A bit juicy style. Fruit open and shows a little more earth and meat in the dark berried-fruit. The acidity is fair and the finish shows a slight tannic end. Fine wine for the price. I am not sure about aging this. The young and juicy fruit makes me believe this is better for drinking right now.

Deep red colour. Greenish herbacious nose. Hints of grass, some red fruits. Fin intensity, but simple style. Medium bodied wine in the mouth. Still simple herbacious fruit with some hints of red berries. This seems to have faded without gaining anything in complexity. On the contrary it seems more simplistic now. Round and nice in the mouth. Fine acidity, very light tannins in the back. Simple, still offering interest. But better four years ago.
