This bottle had a little low fill, but came from great storage. The cork was in poor shape and when opened. The wine that was decanted
showed a troublesome colour. Yellow-brown and brown to the core. It was the colour of a wine that was gone. No sediment though. So what a surprise
when I took a smell. The nose was very intence and highly muscaty and aromatic. Sweet red fruits, spicy, some hints of citrus. Quite
primary. Some hints of faded flowers, mint and a nice perfume. In the mouth this wine had lots of fruit. Some sweetness and a
refreshing mouthfeel. Again strangely primary. Very obvious moscato-flavours. Red fruited. Good concentration. Only a lightly added
complexity and evolvement from the age with hints of faded flowers. Decent acidity and some heat from the alcohol in the finish, but
a fine balance. Good length. Very fine wine indeed. A positive surprise.
