As there are several late released bottlings of this wine, note that this was an old (original?) release. Golden colour. Very fine nose
with great depth. Very complex. Hints of smokey minerals, faded flowers, wet wool, burnt almonds. Fullbodied and half-sweet chenin
blanc in the mouth with great concentration. Quite round and balsamic fruit that shows sweet flowers, minerality, some botrytis
and mushrooms, but a pure and fine fruit with great depth. Quite round acidity and soft for this grape. Long finish with some sweet
flowers in the finish. Tremendous wine.
Arnt Egil Nordlien Tasting note: Feb-08
Golden colour. Very pretty and complex nose. Sweet flowers, minerality, anise and pine needles. Sweetish and typical chenin blanc in the
mouth. Slight fatness and much fruit. Sweet flowers an salty liqourice dominating the complex fruit. Evolved and on top now. Fine acidity
and length. A great bottle of aged Chenin that drinks wonderful now, but will probably last a long time.
