Tasting notes

This was a very fine mature and typical grauburgunder. It reminds me a little bit of an older Trimbach reserve personelle, although lesser scaled. The price is also much lower. Yellow colour. Nose shows smoke and yellow fruits. Fullbodied, dry and mature grauburgunder in the mouth. Typical structure with a slight fatness upfront and medium acidity. The fruit is fine. Aged and showing a fine smokiness and a touch of anise on the finish. Good length. Perhaps starting to show a little dryness on the finish. Meaning I would not wait longer with this. Drink now. Great wine for the price.
