Local green grape grown in the villages of Morgex and La Salle in the northwestern corner of Valla d'Aosta close to the monte bianco. The grape is made as a varietal-wine under the sub-area here in the appelation Valla d'Aosta DOC. The grape gives light and acidic wines, often with a hint of apples and flowers. Special for the area is that the vines normally is found on original rootstocks. The wine is found as dry still wine and as a spumante. The grape is known also as blanc de Morgex and also under the name blanc de la Salle.
