Tasting notes
Deep red colour. Some bubbles. Small and a little faded. Old-fashioned recioto della Valpolicella on the nose with hints of raisins,
dried fruits, botrytis, some anise and cherries. Light complex and aged character. Sweetish and medium bodied in the mouth with an
obvious acidic boost from the bubbles – although finely integrated. Not too sweet wine. Lightly spicy, old-fashioned recioto. Lots of
dried fruits, some botrytis, hints of red fruits. Lacks a bit of interest. Becomes too dried and not much depth. Fine acidity. Little
tannins. Some bitterness on the finish from the botrytis. Decent quality, but not very exciting.
