Deep red colour with a browning rim. Fine and complex nose
with hints of stable, leather and hints of plums. Full-bodied
and with decent concentration of fruit. A bit evolved with
hints of plums, coffee and a touch stable in the finish.
High acids and very tannic end. The tannins too much for the
balance. Too bad, as there is nice fruit here.
The Appelation Sagrantino di Montefalco DOC changed name to
Montefalco Sagrantino when it was promoted to DOCG in 1992.
