This was a very traditionally made Saar-riesling and unfortunately not that well made. The nose can not hide the magnificent
steely minerality of this vineyard, but this is surprisingly unstructured and unfocused in the mouth. I have had much better made
wine from this producer. Yellow-brownish colour. Nose shows hints of old woods, petrol, bitter flowers and fine hints of steel and
minerals. Fine depth showing the vineyard. Fullbodied spätlese in the mouth. Sweet and remarkably flabby from such a vineyard. Medium
acidity and weak structure. Sweet, old-woody, petrolly fruit. Short taste. Nose is fine, disappointing in the mouth. Drink now.
