Tasting notes

Deep yellow colour. Mineral, lightly spicey and steely Saar-auslese. Light botrytis and a touch of petrol. Nice old-fashioned style. Fullbodied '73 in the mouth with quite some sweetness. Mature fruit with lots of life. Dried flowers, some botrytis. Lots of minerality and some steelyness. Fine depth. A little old-fashioned in style. Fine and high acidity balancing the sweetness. The finish shows some dry-extract. Very good and mature auslese that is nowhere near fading.

Tasting note: Dec-10

Yellow colour. Medium intense nose. Evolved, quite ripe and showing some botrytis. Hints of honey, leafs, dried flowers. Some minerality. Powerful '73 auslese ni the mouth. Sweet style, but with an apparent dryish finish. The fruit shows some botrytis. Honey and slate. Dried flowers. Fine enough, but not the most clear and precise. Some fine minerality. Medium acidity. The finish shows some tannins. Very good.
