Tasting notes

This spätburgunder has a lot of promising things to it. I find a depth here that I rarely find in german spätburgunders. But still it does not quite live up to the promise. There is a hardness in it and it comes down as a divine experience. IMO this wines would have deserved a harder selection of the grapes. It has a deep red colour. Fine and floral nose with hints of red berries and lemon. Fine high notes. Quite fullbodied german spätburgunder in the mouth. Medium concentration of fruit. Still quite primary with hints of red berries. Some fine florality. Not very intense. Good acidity. The finish on the other hand is a little green and hard with notes of tea-leafs and tobacco. Tannins showing. Medium length.
