This is a producer from Lombardy (along Garda) using the
same methods as Josko Gravner these days. This wine is
labelled as a Benaco Bresciano IGT and is made from 80%
merlot and 20% rebo. It has a deep red colour. The nose is
quite earthy with hints of red berries and leather. Some
floral notes. Medium bodied and quite merlotish in the
mouth, but with finer acids backing up in the middle. Light
tannic end. A nice entry wine from this producer,
interesting enough to try out more wines.
