This was a rather large-scaled and sweet 2000. Altough typically not the most focused riesling. Golden/browning colour. The nose is
intense and big with notes of honey, mushrooms, petrol, faded flowers. Fine depth with interesting minerality, but rustic and
old-fashioned style. Fullbodied and sweet riesling in the mouth. Good concentration. Quite typical 2000 with some fat upfront, quite
round style and could have better focus in the fruit. But surprisingly large spätlese with lots of fruit. Honeyed and mushroomy.
Old woods. Medium acidity and length. Some citrus in the finish. Decent.
