Yellow colour. Complex nose of wet forest and petrol. With
airing I found more and more mint. Good body. Quite dry and
slim wine in the mouth with light residual sugar balanced
with high acidity. Complex wet
forest, mushroomy aromas (reminded me a bit of Maximin
Grünhaus). Slight herbs and lemon and green apples in the
long finish. Still a bit young wine, but very tempting now.
Great wine.
Arnt Egil Nordlien Tasting note: Feb-01
Yellow colour. Evolved nose with hints of petrol, forest floor, citrus, fine floral notes. Also some botrytis. Lightly sweet in the
mouth, but refreshing acids for an '89. Fine fruits, evolved with fine hints of forest floor creeping in with some petrol. Some heavier
notes of honey and botrytis is also evident. Fine acids and length. Good length. Drinks nicely now, but will probably gain with
another 2-3 years in the cellar.
