Dark red colour with slight browning. Complex nose. Hints of leather, cherries, liquorice, nuts and slight stable. Fullbodied
Valpolicella in the mouth. A little baked fruit. Like it has been stored too warm. Still some fine hints of cherries and leather. Fine
acidity and round tannins in the back. There was some sediment in the bottle and it seems surprisingly mature. I suspect not a too
good storage here. Still this is a very fine bottle of wine that shows the quality of this wine.
Arnt Egil Nordlien Tasting note: June-99
Brick-red colour. Complex nose of leather, earth, cherries
and floral high notes. Medium bodied. Typical old-fashioned
Quintarelli-style. Leathery and complex. Acidic and light
tannins in the finish. Impressive wine full of life. From a different source than the previous bottle.
