Dark red colour. Intense and fruity Volnay on the nose. Ripe dark fruits, cherries, dried roses, spice and a little oak showing.
Powerful and concentrated Champans in the mouth. Quite violent style for a Volnay. Extracted. A controversial vintage of this wine.
Ripe dark fruits, some dried flowers, some anise. Tight fruit that needs time to open up. Medium acids. Tannic finish. This is still
a good wine, but I have to admit that the ripeness is a little off-putting to me. It is not the kind of Volnay I seek. If I had more
bottles I would let them rest 10 more year and hope for the best.
